Rosser Reeves Ruby is named after the famous advertising guru, Rosser Reeves. It was previously owned by Mr. Robert Fisher who had bought it at an auction in London in 1953. Then, the beautiful Ruby weighed around 140cts., but the surface was heavily scratched so he had it repolished which reduced the weight to 138.7cts. In 1953, the Ruby was featured in the New York World-Telegram & The Sun.
Rosser Reeves always carried the Ruby with him & called the Ruby his baby. He is even known to have said that the Ruby was the source of his luck. He donated the Ruby to Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in 1965 & the Ruby was hence named, Rosser Reeves Ruby.
What do you think about this beautiful Star Ruby & do you really believe a Star Ruby makes the wearer lucky?
